Why Do You Get Into A Relationship?
Something got me thinking. Why do people get into relationships? Humans are born as individuals with their own set of organs and brains, but why do they get into relationships? Technically, there's nothing tangible that one gets out of it, just sometimes if you're lucky, a baby maybe?
Is it like online shopping? You buy clothes, thinking that you might look good in it, but when it finally arrives your doorstep and you happily wear it, you realise that the piece did not look as nice and fits as snug as you thought it would be, when you first saw it appear on the website.
Then you 勉强 wear it, knowing that it's not that nice but just can't bear to throw it away? Or you chuck it away immediately and never want to wear it again?
Is it like that? Relationships are like clothes? Hopefully there will be fitting rooms somewhere where you can try the clothes and not buy them if you don't like it. That is highly unlikely. No one likes to be treated like clothes. 兄弟如手足,女人如衣服?
Or maybe relationships are as realistic as online shopping. You view it, buy it, try it. If it fits, you are goddamn lucky. If it doesn't, you either chuck it away or force yourself to wear it (which I see many friends doing it because they don't have the balls to chuck it or they don't even realise they 'don't look good in it').
Sometimes life has no time for second chances. Your best bet could be doing enough researching before buying that perfect piece. Then again, we see many Singaporeans doing that and what happens?
The damn bloody perfect piece goes OUT OF STOCK.
