wHo bUt yOu

i have this friend who i really don't know whether i should trust him. he appears to be trustworthy, but my sixth sense seriously tells me otherwise. i get along pretty well with him, but it appears to me that he is VERY defensive of himself. and by VERY, i mean VERY-VERY, not very-very.

first, when he asks questions, he never fails to ask "can i ask you a question?" before proceeding to his intended actual question. i really find the first question pretty redundant because IF i had said no, is he still going to ask the second question? he must be really eager to ask the second question, if not he wouldn't have opened his mouth at all right? so why still have the first question? and he ain't tactful at all, so people shouldn't be to him, too. when he says "sorry but why (insert topic)..." just strike out the 'sorry but why', like this, because he isn't apologetic at all.

second. it seems to me that he thinks everyone has a motive for asking him something, when he is the one always asking. he always compares people and complains about them, when he practically does not know that he is the one that people complained about. he sets up this really high invisible wall that drifts him apart from people, and then complains that he has little friends, when i think that if he does not break that fucking wall personally, nobody from the outside can get in. so if he's not letting his guard down, how do you make friends when you are sniffing everyone like a dog in the first place?

third. he's not appreciative of what people do. hell yes he might SEEM to be appreciating your efforts, but deep down i guess that he's actually questioning your sudden kindness and suspecting stuff. he's critical of almost everybody and he only speaks good of those who get along really well with him. well, of course, everyone does that, but not everyone does that inclusive of putting others down. when person A does not get along well with you, it doesn't mean that person A is a bad person. his/her personality does not match yours. period.

fourth. he's best at pin-pointing out other people's faults, and he seriously SUCKS at tracking out his bad points. he only knows how to talk cock, sing song and play ping pong. here he goes: "she sucks la, not that i'm very good LAR.. BUT..." hey hey HEY, we all know that the second phrase is really just patronising words la.

fifth. i don't know whether he's vulnerable or naive. an acquaintance of mine really seemed to be a not-so-easy person, yet he thinks he's/she's some wonder. well, let's not get close to personal attacks but perhaps it's a deviated version of beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder.

well, friend, i hope you get my point.

but he's still a friend.

i revise, he's just a friend.

it's time to grow up, kid.
