don't say i did not give you any warning. i took months to upload, combine, edit and collage these few thousands of photos, into numerous collages.
this post dates back all the way to September (yes i know, it's already the February 2007 now and i've already been through a break-up and found a new boyfriend but that's not the point. the point is, it's been a LOOOOONG TIME!), but i always save the best for the last.
so, just you wait. because, it's always worth waiting to see my pictures.
BAH, i'm kidding. =) enjoy!

26th September: Homemade Shoes
a pair of cheapie ole' school shoes can let me have so much fun! i had loads of fun thinking of what colours to match what. and even though the colours might turn out weird, there's no pressure because you know you can always brush it off and re-paint another colour!
you'll need:
-- a pair of white canvas shoes
-- pencil for drawing designs
-- paints
-- brushes
-- a palette
simple as that and you can start work immediately!

if you have fast fingers, you can finish your pair of shoes in just 3 hours. =)
let me show you my other pairs!

the Classic Green-Browns and the Pastel Rainbies!

the Moo-Inspired and the Black Changeables!
why i call it the 'Black Changeables' because...

the ribbons on it can be changed to match my outfits! haha! as for the 'technology' as to how i do it, nope, i'm not disclosing it! you can come and ask me politely on msn and i MIGHT just feel like telling you! =)
doing all these can really kill time! so if you have nothing to do, you can always try this out! =D

3rd October - 5th October: Genting Highlands
'twas a short getaway for my family plus we needed the break-away from the bad haze in Singapore desperately. i heard that Malaysia's haze was supposed to be worse, but it doesn't seem to be the case in Genting.

that's my parents in the center, and my uncle and auntie on the left. don't play play okay, they are MEMBERS of the GENTING casino and got us rooms for free! =) i did not wear the socks with my shoes out of the bus okay! i was just having cold feet. =D

the 6 hours journey was a torture, giving me headaches and stuff. but the heated swimming pool gave me adrenaline! WOO! okay, this is my nth time going to Genting, but the pool always excites me. the thing is, how come it seems so small now? =/

the morning dim sum was yummy, coupled with the cool weather. so shiok, can?

in Genting, you either eat, play, gamble or sleep. i did the first and the last, the most. and the buffet was the awesomest. why? because i had free flow of SALMON SASHIMI!! OMG! imagine when i saw it, i was like, hyperventilating! OMGOMGOMG. YUMS!

the desserts were preedee and delicious!

that's how big our room was. i guess this peekture is good for HPM? haha! and does anyone know how many stars does Hotel Genting have? my guess is 4!
funnily, i managed to smoke through the security guards in the casino and i saw for myself how aunties can really gamble. as usual, to kill my time there, i dabbled in jackpots and LOST, again. I LOST 50 RINGGIT! =(

14th November: Pei Juan's Birthday
it's the smallest girls' birthday, yet again! this time round, we went to New York New York, a second time in a month!
i think everyone has aged. from 14 to 20. OMG. that's damn old.
my green partner. she's a fab lover of green since the ole' times! just like me! i remember when we were in secondary we were sitting together, and we shared this stationery box that was full of greenie stuffs, like a green stapler, a green whoe puncher, a green ruler, lotsa green pens and even green staples. awesome eh?

we gave her a G2000 shirt! =)

20th November - 23rd November: Hong Kong, Here We Come!
finally the day we'd all been waiting for! although it was my fifth time there, we were excited! after just one short month of registering and planning, the four of us, Sze Ling, Zhi Xuan, Anthea and me were all ready to set off! yeeeep!
Day One:

that's us in the airport and on the aircraft.. the top views are Singapore actually. i didn't bother to take top views of Hong Kong because after the plane took off, i changed seats with a fellow female schoolmate who really looked damn desperate to devour my allocated window seat. i learned later on that it was her first time on an aeroplane. see, i'm such a nice person. i just let a girl had beautiful memories of her first time on a plane plus a bonus -- a window seat. but, she did not return my kindness.

HKIA is so big. i don't remember the last time i went Hong Kong in 2000, the airport was really so big meh? when we arrived, we had to take a skytrain to another terminal just to get our immigration stuff done! the airbus in international context is a carrier brand, but in Hong Kong, it's a bus.

went to City Gateway Outlet Mall in Lantau Island first, and the in-charge there gave a small presentation on their marketing strategies of the shopping mall. i swear almost everyone was so fluttered over the presentation coz all of us just wanted to shop! and thank gawd, they gave us one short hour to shop and i spent HKD$400 for four tops in just that hour, which is about SGD$80.

dinner was awesome because we had roast goose! yummy! it basically tastes like duck meat! and i gained the sense of familiarity of the night lights when i went to Hong Kong when i was much younger..

then we went to Avenue of Stars after dinner where we could see perfect nightlights of the Hong Kong skyscrapers. the building in the first two frames is The Peninsula, the most expensive hotel in Hong Kong.

pictures with the only Bruce Lee statue in Asia (the only other's in US) and palm prints of famous people like Andy Lau and Michelle Yeoh. you can see the weather was very windy and as we were taking pictures, our flapped around like nobody's business.

i swear it was much brighter in reality! the view was awesome.
then we went to check in at Hotel YMCA, where Anthea, Sze Ling and I shared a triple room which was a hoax, i tell you. they just added an addtional roll-away bed! but we had fruits while the rest of the rooms did not, haha.
Day Two:
struggling to get up in the morning, we went to visit the Consumer Council of Hong Kong where consumers can lodage complaints for dissatisfaction of products or services that they have paid for, very much like the CASE of Singapore. we were very much sleepy because we spent the night unpacking and talking cock.

went for a short break after the visit and we had a great lunch! apparently that outlet that we had lunch in seems pretty good coz it was crowded and all..

then we went to Hong Kong Jockey Club, for what i do not know, coz i was falling asleep throughout the whole presentation haha! anyway it's more for the marketing students so most people (I) switched off and started dozing off.. but the office has a pretty good view! too bad didn't see any horses and we didn't get to bet, urgh.

and our favourite time came! NIGHT TIME = SHOPPING! haha! we went to Argyle Centre, a heavenly place for accessories, blings, bags and handicraft materials! and the pasta-like snack that i ate was fabulous i tell you! we gotta bring it back to Singapore and start selling it! =)

this was the handicraft shop that the girls spent hours on. the artwork is somewhat fascinating, with colours and all those customisations.. however i thought the stuffs there were a tad too pricey! but you just simply can't imagine the wide variety of products they have!

and we bought chou dou fu to eat! not my first time to try, but still as smelly as ever. i still think that taiwan's chou dou fu tastes nicer!
Day Three:

went to Bossini headquarters to visit and we thought they gave a wonderful presentation! errr maybe it was the 30% staff discount they gave us upon buying their products that won us over! haha!

we then proceeded to Kowloon Shangri-La where we were seated in a conference room and the Marketing department answered our emailed questions.. more like that TEACHERS' emailed questions!

they showed us one of their Harbourview Deluxe Room and well, see their standards for yourself haha!

i would die for a toilet like this..
costs about HKD$6000 per night to stay in a suite like this.. probably about SGD$1200?

hmm, their in-house facilities.. we took so many pictures, thinking that we'd need them for our project, in the end never even touch at all..

their staff canteen! haha looks good right!

their cafe dining area..

their public toilets and our pathetic farewell dinner for our last night in Hong Kong. the food sucked! i realise they like to cook corn with fish! the combination sucks too.

then we went out at night with justin pang and khoo lay hoon to take the star ferry to Hong Kong Island.. pretty fun and the weather is awesome!
took lotsa pictures in front of The Peninsula..

the ferry ride only costs us about SGD$0.50? haha.. talking about transport fares in Singapore..

awwwwww... the fabulous Hong Kong Milk Tea! we gave up the complimentary hotel breakfast for local breakfast! YUMMY!

so after breakfast we went to the legendary Ocean Park! well it didn't change much since i last went there.. still as boring!

we took the cable car ride! and we didnt want to spend money buying the photo that they took for us, so we took a shot of the TV that showed the photo! haha cheapskate!

there wasn't ample time for us to try out all the rides so we took the most thrilling one.. even the roller coaster wasn't scary!

right, there you go, Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA), located on Lantau Island.

notice that we were all quite sleepy actually.. zhixuan looked like a zombie! haha!

with the tour guides and lecturers!

with Professor Turtle!

and i think nicole would like him! hahaha.
at the airport..

those in my class who went..
that's all for Hong Kong!

so it's not totally an educational trip after all.. haha!

good buy best buy must buy of the trip: my $6 red shoes!!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
25th November: Kluang, Malaysia
barely two days i came back from Hong Kong, my parents wheezed us off to the poor deserted little town!

that's my ah ma! hahahaha!

the crispy duck won me over..

it IS deserted.......

post-card material shot!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
i still have lotsa pictures but i'm very tired so that's all for now okay?
